What do you do when cut-backs, job loss, tragic accidents, stalkers, haters, marital strife, postpartum, and overwhelming debt (all at one time!) threaten to blow you away? You dare to let God love and lift you up to fly.
Jas 4:17 Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
- Romans 13:1-2 – all authority is appointed by God
- 1 Samuel 15:20-23 – Rebellion is as witchcraft. Rebellion was the sin of Satan.
- Martin Luther’s writings on translating and interpreting by his own authority: http://www.bible-researcher.com/luther01.html The “donkey” (“ass” in the original) passage is in paragraph eight. Also Google Philip Schaff’s account found in the History of the Christian Church, Volume 7, Book 1, Chapter 4, Section 63.
- Tabernacle study on all the connections between OT worship and the Mass – we will cover all of this in the new series, After This Our Exile, Making Sense of the Old Testament
- Revelation 19:10, All scripture is prophecy because it all testifies of Christ
- 2 Pet. 1:20, No scripture is of private interpretation
- 1 Timothy 3:15-16, The Church, not the Bible, is the pillar and foundation of truth
- Tabernacle – The OT tabernacle, the prophecies concerning the NT Church’s worship and structure in the Book of Ezekiel, and the heavenly temple worship revealed to St. John all foreshadow and illustrate that worship that pleases God (and that is occurring in the heavenly realms right now) is to include an institutional priesthood as well as a lay priesthood, engage all the senses, and be liturgical (meaning ceremonial).
- Eucharist – OT Presence Bread, manna, and offerings to Melchizedek, all foreshadowed the NT Eucharist. Jesus says Himself that He is the Bread of Life, the Bread from heaven, and that His body and blood are real food and drink in John 6. St. Paul says this sacrifice and offering is an actual communion in His body and blood and that Jesus’ Body and Blood are truly present there (1 Cor. 5:7, 10:16-17, and 11:23-30).
- Pope – Meaning papa, the answer to my prayer that there be one visible leader of the earthly Church. One mediator? “All virtue and all vice come by way of your neighbor” St. Catherine of Sienna. We are all mediators for one another in all things that pertain to salvation.
- Mary – The New Eve and the Ark of the New Covenant according to the early Christians. The Rosary is all scripture.
